Wondering if Motley Fool Stock Advisor is a scam? Is Motley Fool legit? Watch my complete Motley Fool review in the YouTube video below to find out my honest thoughts.
I don't believe that subscribers of Motley Fool Stock advisor will beat the market. In fact, when factoring in their subscription fees, I believe that members are better off just purchasing an SPY or QQQ ETF - or trading a simple wheel strategy.
While Motley Fool touts that they consistently beat the market, in my opinion, I believe that they cherry-pick the few holdings that do very well and conveniently forget about the losing recommendations.
There likely is no edge in fundamental analysis, I know that this seems controversial - and, as a former Investment Banker, valuing companies on their fundamentals was very important to our job.
However, the reality is that all publicly available information is already priced into the stocks.
Yes, mispricing of stocks occur, especially at market extremes, but for someone to believe that they know more than the millions of people who, in aggregate, invest in a stock, is ludicrous.
Our Motley Fool Stock Advisor Review
In my opinion, Motley Fool Stock Advisor will NOT help you beat the market, especially when factoring in their subscription costs.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) - Motley Fool Review
Is Motley Fool Legit?
My opinion differs from most in that I don't believe that investors should subscribe to Motley Fool. Instead, I think almost everyone is better off being long QQQ when factoring in their subscription costs.
Additionally, it's important to factor in the portfolio volatility.
Motley Fool chooses higher-beta stocks then these stocks, especially when using leverage, could blow up an investors account.
It's my opinion that Motley Fool chooses high beta stocks and then markets the winners while ignoring the losing trades.
Motley Fool Review: Is Stock Advisor Worth it?
I don't believe members are better off subscribing to Motley Fool when you compare it against being long QQQ when factoring in ALL of their recommendations and factoring in their subscription costs.
Additionally, it's important to factor in the portfolio volatility. Meaning if Motley Fool is choosing higher-beta stocks then these stocks, especially when using leverage, could blow up an investors account.
Motley Fool stock picks revealed?
I don't believe they reveal their stock picks unless you pay for them.
Again, you're likely better off just going long QQQ.
Motley Fool Performance History
I don't believe they reveal their stock performance in total. Instead, we'd have to rely upon them to produce it.
If Motley Fool could provide their trading statements, then that would be very helpful.
But, Motley Fool does not reveal their trading statements.
